Indie developer Jason Morrissey yesterday released a YouTube client for iOS titled Jasmine. (iOS 6 removed the native YouTube app.) It's by far the most beautiful way to access YouTube on an iPhone, and it has support for iPad as well. Users are currently spending $1.99 on apps like YouPad, a mundane excuse for a YouTube client, probably because they assume a paid app will be more valuable than anything that's free.

Jasmine is free and it has everything one could ask for in a native YouTube app, from AirPlay to quality selection to iPhone 5 support to a dark theme. I'll be taking a closer look at it in the days to come, but for now I highly recommend downloading it. Donate to the developer if you find Jasmine to be useful — he deserves it.
